i couldn't help it

yeah, it's a little self-serving with Lucas' no food, thick glass (so you can barely get a good picture), and grocery store plastic flap curtains to keep the air static restrictions, but the exhibit is still pretty rad.

i could give a rip about most of the episode I and II stuff, and it is a little awkward seeing phantom models next to icons like AT-ATs and TIE fighters. that said, to be able to see film-used models and costumes from the movies that made my formative years is pretty amazing.

while i was there i told brian that my 10 or 13-year-old self would have flipped for this exhibit. it was funny to watch little kids walk up and recognize darth vader, and hysterical to see them leave the dark lord and get more excited phantom menace anakin costume.

somehow, i was a little let down overall. probably because the millennium falcon portion requires an additional admission fee, and it was closed by the time i realized it. all in all though it is a must for a star wars fan. there's only a month left to go see it:
